Pete Shaw will be running several workshops and sessions, and appearing with the Courtableau Cajun Band during the Festival.

Saturday 10 Aug - 10.00am to 11.30am - Pavilion-on-the-Sands - KAY ANDERSON and ANN PYWELL's CAJUN DANCE WORKSHOP. The Cajun Twostep and Cajun Waltz are very easy to get the hang of. Come along and learn, ready for the Cajun Dance at 12.20pm today, 2 hours of Cajun music 1pm to 2pm in the Festival Bar on Sunday, and the Cajun spot in the Afternoon show at the Bandstand from 3pm Wednesday.

Saturday 10 August - 12.30pm to 2.30pm - Pavilion-the-Sands - CAJUN DANCE with the COURTABLEAU CAJUN BAND who play those foot-tapping Cajun two-steps, waltzes and blues - come and dance cajun, or anything you like, or to listen

Sunday 11 August - 1.00pm to 2.00pm - Festival Bar - the COURTABLEAU CAJUN BAND are at the centre of the CAJUN SESSION, providing the Cajun music for you to dance to, or just sit back and listen - if you play (all in G or C), some music & chords available for loan

Monday 12 August 12.30 to 2.30pm - The George - Pete Shaw is Paul Lucas' guest at the PLAYALONG CLUB - bring your instruments or just come and listen

Tuesday 13 August - 2.30pm to 4.00pm - Baptist Centre - LEARN TO READ MUSIC IN ONE SESSION workshop - The dots look double dutch? Want to be able to pick up more tunes? Learn the very easy and quick way with Pete Shaw. Magic! Instrument not needed. You'll be doing it before the end of the workshop!

Wednesday 14 August - 3.00 to 4.30pm - The Bandstand - the COURTABLEAU CAJUN BAND are playing a spot in the AFTERNOON SHOW, also featuring ARTHUR COATES and RISING LARKS/LEADING LIGHTS

Thursday 15 Aug - 2.30 to 3.30pm - Baptist Centre - NEW TUNES TO YOU WORKSHOP - PETE SHAW takes you through some cracking session tunes - suitable for fiddle, mandolin, tenor banjo, melodeon, whistle, accordeon, guitar, etc - all in G or D - polkas, jigs, waltzes, laments, reels, etc - the music  (dots & chords) is HERE
